Abstract
In the present investigation the concentration of PM10, PM2.5, carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, temperature and relative humidity in a closed environment was determined; its temporal and spatial variation in the laboratory 0 of the Mechanical Engineering Section in the PUCP during the use of the laboratory to perform combustion tests with natural gas and LPG, in industrial burners. Equipment for measuring particulate matter and polluting gases (PM10, PM2.5, CO and CO2) and the meteorological variables of the test site were used. The methodology used was considering the closed environment without any fuel burning, burning only natural gas and burning only LPG. In addition, the situations were opened by opening and closing the door and window in different combinations to observe how the concentration in the closed environment varied. The results show that the concentrations of PM10, PM2.5, CO2 and CO at all times, even during the burning of fuels, remained within the range of permissible limits for indoor environments.
