Abstract
The contradictory evolution of water services is imbedded in a wide variety of shortcomings that characterize contemporary urban development. The purpose of the following document is to propose a solution for water scarcity in arid and semi-arid zones by predicting wind direction. This proposal is based on the application of a monitoring system with LoRaWAN that will track areas with high concentration of water, using humidity sensors and anemometers in a swarm of drones. These data are stored in a registry so that, after completing their route, they are sent to a central node and this information remotely and used to locate the fog catchers in areas with great potential for liquid extraction.
