Abstract
In this paper, the evaluation results of three decoupling methods for Dielectric Resonator Antenna DRA are presented for a 2 x 2 element array operating between 27.5 GHz and 28.35 GHz for 5G applications. This methods consist on adding vias and metallic strips to a DRA MIMO antenna. The objective of this paper is to find out the method presents the lowest coupling, for a bidimensional array DRA. A 12 dB of improvement in isolation is obtained for the neighboring element in the H-plane and a 19 dB for the neighboring element on the E-plane. Simulation results of isolation, reflection coefficient, distribution of E-field and current density are presented.
