Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to show the different currents of global thinking of the management model by competencies in the workplace, and then take a brief review of the state of the art of the organizational method in Peru, and end with some recommendations for the implementation of the model according to the vision of McClelland (1973), Spencer and Spencer (1993), Boyatzis (2002) and Alles (2008). The documentary analysis methodology of the model was used to link the theoretical and practical realities of the organizational field of business management experiences in Peru and thus present a way forward for its insertion. The results allowed the elaboration of a management proposal of the model by competencies that consists of three phases that includes twelve steps, which must be aligned with the strategic business plan, have the maximum commitment and support of the highest managerial level of the organizations.
