Abstract
The medical profile requires ethical and axiological competencies. The research sought to identify the relationship between significant values and moral discernment in medical students under a descriptive-correlational design with a bivariate correlation hypothesis in 60 students, with the application of the James Rest test and the Axiological Predominance Instrument. Their results are: The material values were more significant with a mean of 16.02. For Moral Discernment, the highest average (15.35) was obtained by Orientation to priority rights. The correlations were less than 0.26. It was concluded: Material values predominate in the sample and reach the conventional level of moral discernment, with no correlation between dimensions of variables. © 2022, Sociedad Europea De Medicina Naturista Clasica.
