Abstract
In this article we analyze this question from a metaphysical perspective. The study is based on human nature itself. The physiological, phenomenological and anthropological contribution is interesting. However, they cannot exhaust all the wealth that adorns the human being. Thus, the suffering man also has a fundamental dimension: spirituality. The metaphysical approach is the one that unifies, globalizes, and summarizes the partial contributions of the other knowledge. The question of why human pain is a question that points out our scarcity and vulnerability, confirmed more than ever in this situation of the pandemic generated by COVID-19.
