Abstract
Primitive development of brain begin of the ectodermus with the histogenesis of pallium (cortex), whose wall in the first two months of gestation remain very thin and it is composed by only three capes, but at the end of the second month begin a cellular migration of the cape of mantle to the marginal zone making the gray substance: The brain cortex. Meanwhile cells are organizing in numerous horizontal capes which are six in the six month of gestation. In this circumstance the brain-structure is convert in brain-function through all the life. Attempt correlate the structural areas described by Brodman (47 areas) and the described by Von Economo (109 areas 5-types), with the brain function in the neuropsychiatric disorders in the light of the current knowledge and our experience. We proposed a structure- functional theory in the psychopathology of dementia.
