Abstract
Fashion production has changed over time to satisfy customer needs. However, the local industry is still lagging behind in its production order fulfillment rate, a fact that does not encourage customer loyalty or generate revenue. A literature review shows the benefits of the Lean philosophy and its tools in other sectors. Thus, this research aims at using these tools to improve the production order fulfillment process by reducing previously identified wastes. Furthermore, we validated the research proposal through a case study of a Peruvian industry.
