Abstract
Preliminary results for gradient forces on optical tweezers, using double-negative (DNG) particles, are presented adopting full electromagnetic theory for focused Gaussian beams, revealing unusual and interesting behaviors that could be exploited in biomedical optics research. © 2010 Optical Society of America.
