Abstract
The slot is a commonly used radiator in antenna systems. Slotted waveguide array antennas consist of a certain number of slots cut into the walls of a waveguide forming an array with the slots acting as individual radiating elements. These arrays provide high antenna efficiency, mechanical simplicity and robustness and high reliability. Here are presented simulated and measured results of a novel type of slotted waveguide antenna operating in X-band with vertical polarization.
