Abstract
The general objective of this article is to explain the problem of disability from the analysis of statistical data in Peru. It is a study based on the paradigm of quantitative approach. The research is descriptive, a documentary tracking has been done that addresses the problem of disability in a universal context. The term under study is theorized, creating a construct of the same and establishing a contextualized concept to the current conjuncture, consequence of the comparative analysis; The population is considered for the analysis: with disability, sex, age group, type of disability, disability by department and population ratio due to disability. The results indicate that Peru presents a statistical reality regarding disability, which coincides with certain international reports, which warn about the vulnerability situation of the disabled, in terms of their human rights; especially, the female sex and those who suffer from visual disability, where they will have to prioritize and instrumentalize short and medium term actions that involve prevention issues; attention and efficient social inclusion.
