Abstract
In Peru, there is still no undergraduate program in aerospace engineering, even though the Peruvian Space Agency (CONIDA for its acronym in Spanish) is over 40 years old and currently has an orbiting Earth observation satellite. However, there are universities that, as part of the training of their students, touch some topics related to aerospace technology. In the present work, one presents an analysis of the Peruvian situation about the training of new professionals with aerospace technology knowledge. Also, one analyzes how the lack of an aerospace engineering program has been covered in relative terms for having engineers occupying positions created for professionals with aerospace knowledge. The results show that there are alternatives in which Peruvian professionals can acquire aerospace knowledge either through related masters programs, courses, training, and seminars, among others.
