Abstract
Service level manifests itself in retail companies through product availability being in the right place at the right time. Being able to secure product availability exerts a positive impact on customer loyalty, a key goal among companies. However, user pressure upon making the purchase and fierce competition within the sector forces companies to ascertain more efficient supply chain management techniques, methods, and tools. For this case study, we assessed product flow, from the moment the product is imported until its acquisition by the final customer, and we found stockout to be the primary issue as it causes the greatest economic loss. After adopting the improvement proposal, service level increased by 8%.
