Abstract
Based on the results of variable temperature 57Fe Mössbauer measurements and the analysis of the lineshape of the spectra we demonstrate that Fe(2-BIK)3 (ClO4)2 (compound 1) and Fe(Me2 2-BIK)3 (BF4)2 (compound 2) show a gradual low spin (1A1) (LS) ⇌ high-spin (5T2) (HS) transition with intersystem crossing rates (ISC) comparable to the time scale of rate (kHL) is relatively temperature-independent. © 1992.
