This chapter addresses the modeling and development of the modules that use distributed processing systems so as to achieve a high performance in processes for the optimization of alternatives [1] [2] [3] (GA, CA, Cooperative Coevolution Algorithm, Schedule Optimization), for distributed simulations of "random" alternatives, for case simulations and for distributed Monte Carlo simulations. © 2009 Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg.
