Abstract
A methodology for river meandering restoration is presented where a simplified river model is introduced. This model is considered a valuable tool for predicting river morphodynamics processes such as river migration. The methodology includes the definition of the main criteria for designing stream restoration, the application of the linear and nonlinear analysis and the application of the planform migration model in a real case. A comparison of a river migration process using the mean annual flood discharge and the channel forming discharge is shown.
