Abstract
ICT as educational tools are very beneficial for the teacher and for students in the 2nd grade of the primary level since through the GCompris software. The purpose of this research is to analyze how students in the second grade of primary school implement the GCompris program as a teaching resource in the area of mathematics to solve problems of addition, subtraction and mathematical language. The sample was of 36 students were used as an experimental group (pre-test - post-test), the participants were between 8 and 9 years old. Finally, an exit evaluation was applied to compare the result and see if the software was relevant to improve its mathematical performance. Finally, the results showed that through the comparative chart students managed to improve their mathematical performance.
