Abstract
The goal of this study was to analyze the internal structure of the Areas of Worklife Scale (AWS) in a sample of 311 Peruvian elementary school teachers (63.7% women; Mage=46.75) from State Institutions. The internal structure was evaluated through Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) and Exploratory Structural Equation Modeling (ESEM), reliability was obtained through ω coefficient. The CFA and ESEM results indicated that the expected six dimension structure was not confirmed due to low or moderate factorial loads and the presence of a factor method associated with reverse-coded items. The magnitude of reliability (ω) shows low representativeness of some items in the evaluated dimensions of the AWS. Findings and implications about the utility of the Areas of Worklife Scale in elementary school teachers are discussed.
