Abstract
Innovation allows organizations to anticipate new opportunities, benefiting creative problem solving, using strategies that guarantee flexibility in changing conditions. In this sense, the research aims to carry out a documentary study, which seeks to theoretically address innovation as a fundamental element for success in organizations. For this, concepts presented by authors such as: Schumpeter (1939), Drucker (1985), Mandado (2003), Escorsa y Valls (2003),among others will be studied. The research is descriptive, not experimental, in which the theoretical realities of the object of study are considered, with a systemic and organized analysis. Innovation is presented as an opportunity to improve and promote strategies that stimulate the creativity of the staff, develop a comprehensive vision in the organization, which will contribute to the development of competitive advantages that guarantee success in organizations. Innovation can play a strategic role in organizations, which can be useful to the extent that it finds the right actors in its creation and dissemination process achieving success in companies.
