The objective of the research was to determine the effects of the use of GeoGebra software in the meaningful learning of function graphs in engineering students in the year 2020 in the city of Juliaca, in order to optimize the academic performance of the students. The type of research was experimental and the design that has been assumed is quasi-experimental considering two homogeneous groups, for the application of the GeoGebra software in the learning sessions, seeking that the student interact in their learning process. The research sample has been made up of students from the first semester of the professional school of civil engineering of the Universidad Peruana Unión. For the collection of information, the function graph knowledge test was used, which was applied before and after the use of the GeoGebra software. The research results show that of 100% of the students in the experimental group 23% are in the very good category in relation to the students in the control group who 7% are in the very good category. Concluding that the students significantly improve their learning in topics of real number functions after the treatment of the application of the GeoGebra software.
