The objective of the article is to carry out a study of the profile of graduates of careers in the tourism sector and their relationship with the skills of professionals for their immersion in the labor market. The study is quantitative, basic and correlational, non-experimental design, cross-sectional, the sample was 150 graduates of the professional career of administration in tourism and hospitality from a private university in Lima, for data collection the survey and questionnaire. The instrument was validated by expert judgment and obtained a high level of reliability. The results determined that the professional profile and job competencies are directly related (Rho = 0.731) and significantly (p = 0.000), therefore the alternative hypothesis is accepted and the relationship is high.
