Abstract
This article aims to examine the structure of knowledge in the field of entrepreneurial intentions through social knowledge network analysis (authors and research topics), which allows identifying potential synergies, interactions and new studies in this field of knowledge. The methodology is based on a systematic review of literature in Scopus withan equation of search that recovered 202 articles. The articles are analyzed visually and quantitatively, involving networks of co-authorship and co-occurrence of keywords to obtain visualization of networks of authors and research topics in macro and micro levels, respectively. The construction of the network structure and calculation of the core network is carried out through the model of binary undirected graph and KCO Network withfree software: Bibexcel, Netdraw and Gephi. The results show that the model most commonly used in this field of study is the Theory of Planned Behavior. It is the conceptual reference on which have been built most of new models. In addition, the Structural Equation Model has been consolidated as the most used method for the analysis and interpretation of collected primary data. Then, the need arises to generate new fields of study in the area of entrepreneurial intentions. Thus, it is raised the need to generate new fields of study in the area of entrepreneurial intentions. Therefore, it is suggested the incorporation of nonlinear visions supported by systematic tools that provide a better approach to understanding the dynamics and the causal relationships presented in the variables of entrepreneurial intention models.
