Abstract
This article aims to systematize the sociocultural characteristics of Angola, the different models of distance education in Brazil and present the proposal of the extension course for the training of teachers in that country. From the basis of this discussion, it is highlighted the initiatives need to be taken, a way as to contribute to the democratization of the access to higher learning and massification of the information and communication technologies in a country, aimed at improving the quality of education.
