Abstract
Devices developed for applications in Internet of Things has led to innovation in hardware and software, in order to improve the systems for very low energy consumption and increase the autonomy of nodes. This paper presents the design, simulation and implementation of a fuzzy logic algorithm in a wireless embedded mote in order to optimize their energy consumption. The wireless transmission represents higher energy consumption in a mote, being an alternative the modification of transmission periods in order to improve its autonomy. Fuzzy logic algorithm allows to modify the period of data transmission according to battery voltage level and the solar energy harvesting. These algorithms are implemented and evaluated using software techniques based on simple mathematical operations and their relationship with the operation time for an implementation in a hardware embedded system.
