The objective is to analyze the financial information system used by companies in the ceramic industrial sector of the city of Cuenca, Ecuador, a town where the only four flat ceramic companies in Ecuador are located, in order to design and present emerging alternatives for this purpose. the calculation of financial ratios, supported by fuzzy logic. From the quantitative level, through the use of expertization and counter-expertise techniques, the results are that companies rely on traditional information systems. However, using emerging tools, they could calculate confidence intervals by means of triangular fuzzy numbers (NBT), which would allow managers to make precise and assertive decisions to provide greater stability to their companies. Overcoming barriers of traditional methodologies and enhancing the objectivity and precision derived from highly useful methodologies for the financial management of companies.
