cris.boxmetadata.label.abstract
We center our attention in the tellurite glasses doped with rare-earth ions (REIs) and their optical properties that are widely in optical devices, since the REIs should ideally be confined as a delta function in the center of the core for maximum gain per unit pump power. In this manner there is a trade-off between the confinement and the high RE ion concentration.
