Abstract
Today’s society requires professionals to develop research skills that allow them, through the scientific method, to use their knowledge to make coherent proposals to the various needs of their environment. For this reason, the present article aims to implement actions for the formation of investigative competences in the students of the Faculty of Business Sciences of the Señor de Sipán University, Perú. This research is based on a qualitative current, through Participatory Action Research that seeks to generate a transformation in students, the actors involved are the teacher and 60 students, for the development of this research the action research model of Kemmis and Mctaggart is used (1988). The results show that by developing actions in which students are directly involved, learning and permanent changes are generated. The development of research skills in students was achieved, improving their ability to think reflectively and propose solutions to problems. It is concluded that the actions developed allowed the students to acquire the investigative competences necessary to improve their learning process, but above all to achieve the generation of useful knowledge to face the challenges and situations that arose in their professional development.
