Abstract
Under a pragmatic point of view, many of the basic principles of openness are not considered in the design and development of OER and MOOC. The lack of important openness-related features generates a diversion of meaning of some 'O'-for 'Open'-letters of their respective acronyms. In that sense, this paper aims to discuss challenges and possible ways to implement some key openness concepts for current MOOCs and OER.
