Abstract
A simple method to measure the low-frequency parameters of loudspeakers is presented. In this method, no auxiliary known compliance or known mass is needed. Random noise is used to excite the loudspeaker. Three parameters have to be measured in order to perform the calculations - input voltage, input current, and diaphragm velocity. As an application, the Thiele-Small parameters of two loudspeakers are measured. This method could be used to measure midrange and high-frequency drivers.
