Abstract
The present work aims to the study and design of a prototype that allows us to view and analyze the ECG, EMG, EEG and EOG signal. The acquisition and interpretation of these signals is often used in the clinical field for monitoring in critically ill patients and the diagnosis of pathologies, also the reading of these signals is quite used in the field of research within the biosciences, to assess the effects of different substances on certain organisms. Furthermore, the analysis and processing of these signals has led to remarkable advances in the areas of engineering, among them we can mention the development of the popular brain-computer interfaces (BCI). In this sense, we propose the development of this prototype that will allows us to record and display data, and apply tools for electrophysiological signal analysis. © 2010 International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering.
