Abstract
A prosthetic finger based on a one degree of freedom mechanism is synthesized in this paper using a genetic algorithm optimization method. The features of this method are defined so that the mechanism performs an anatomical movement of a hand finger. Then, a sensitivity analysis is proposed to identify which links most affect the end-effector position. Some simulation results are presented to analyze this proposal.
