Abstract
Almond growing, occupying a surface area of around 200,000 ha, is one of the most important, albeit very marginal, farming activities in Andalusia. This study examines the characteristics of almond growing in Andalusia, with a description and analysis of the following: surface areas and production, characteristics of the physical environment, plant material, growing techniques, associationism and marketing.
