The plant material used in this study was collected in the Ucayali department, district of Yarinacocha, in November 1997 by J.G. Graham and J. Schunke Vigo. Permission for collection was obtained from Dr. Fernando Cabieses, Instituto Nacional de Medicina Tradicional, Lima, Peru under the agreement between INMETRA and UIC. Dr. Cabieses should be listed as a co-author on the paper. The plant material was collected under the auspices of a grant (CA52956) from the National Cancer Institute, Bethesda, MD. Personnel in the Bioassay Research Facility, UIC are thanked for the bioassay data.
