Abstract
Water supply systems are responsible for meeting the consumption demand of a given region. These systems are usually made up of pumps, pressure and flow transducers, valves and piping. Usually these types of systems present losses, deficiency in the design of controllers or lack of management of pump configurations. This work aims to develop a pressure control system based on fuzzy logic applied to a pumping system operating in three possible pump configurations: single pump, two pumps in series and two pumps in parallel. It will be presented an analysis of the energy efficiency of these three configurations, as well as the robustness of the fuzzy controller to perturbations resulting from the emulation of water consumption through a proportional valve.
