Measurements in two control samples using the same technique B(B̄0→D+μ- ν̄μ)/B(B̄0→D+π-) and B(B̄ 0→D*(2010)+μ-ν̄μ)/ B(B̄0→D*(2010)+π-) are also reported. The analysis uses data from an integrated luminosity of approximately 172pb-1 of pp̄ collisions at s=1.96TeV, collected with the CDF II detector at the Fermilab Tevatron. The relative branching fractions are measured to be B(Λb 0→Λc+μ-ν̄μ)B(Λb 0→Λc+π-)=16.6±3.0(stat) ±1.0(syst)+2.6-3.4(PDG) ±0.3(EBR), B(B̄0→D+μ-ν̄μ) B(B̄0→D+π-)=9.9±1.0(stat) ±0.6(syst)±0.4(PDG)± 0.5(EBR), and B(B̄0→D*( 2010)+μ-ν̄μ)B(B̄0→D*( 2010)+π-)=16.5±2.3(stat) ±0.6(syst)±0.5(PDG)± 0.8(EBR). The uncertainties are from statistics (stat), internal systematics (syst), world averages of measurements published by the Particle Data Group or subsidiary measurements in this analysis (PDG), and unmeasured branching fractions estimated from theory (EBR), respectively. This article also presents measurements of the branching fractions of four new Λb 0 semileptonic decays: Λb0→Λc( 2595)+μ-ν̄μ, Λb0→Λc( 2625)+μ-ν̄μ, Λb0→Σc( 2455)0π+μ-ν̄μ, and Λb 0→Σc(2455)++π-μ-ν̄μ, relative to the branching fraction of the Λb0→Λc+μ- ν̄μ decay. Finally, the transverse-momentum distribution of Λb0 baryons produced in pp̄ collisions is measured and found to be significantly different from that of B̄0 mesons, which results in a modification in the production cross-section ratio σΛb0/σB̄0 with respect to the CDF I measurement. © 2009 The American Physical Society. -

This measurement uses a pp̄ collisions data sample corresponding to 6.8fb-1 at √s=1.96TeV collected by the CDF II detector at the Tevatron collider. The total and differential branching ratios for Λb0→Λμ+μ- are measured. We find B(Λb0→Λμ+μ-)=[1.73±0. 42(stat)±(syst)]×10-6. We also report the first measurement of the differential branching ratio of Bs0→μ+μ -, using 49 signal events. In addition, we report branching ratios for B+→K+μ+μ-, B0→K0μ+μ-, and B→K*(892) μ+μ- decays. © 2011 American Physical Society. -

A signal is observed whose probability of arising from a background fluctuation is 4.0×10-8, or 5.5 Gaussian standard deviations. The Ωb- mass is measured to be 6054.4±6. 8(stat)±0.9(syst)MeV/c2. The lifetime of the Ωb- baryon is measured to be 1.13-0.40+0.53(stat)±0.02(syst)ps. In addition, for the Ξb- baryon we measure a mass of 5790.9±2.6(stat)±0.8(syst)MeV/c2 and a lifetime of 1.56-0.25+0.27(stat)±0.02(syst)ps. Under the assumption that the Ξb- and Ωb- are produced with similar kinematic distributions to the Λb0 baryon, we find σ(Ξb-)B(Ξb-→J/ψΞ-) σ(Λb0)B(Λb0→J/ψΛ)=0.167-0.025+0.037(stat) ±0.012(syst) and σ(Ωb-)B(Ωb-→J/ψΩ-) σ(Λb0)B(Λb0→J/ψΛ)=0.045-0.012+0.017(stat) ±0.004(syst) for baryons produced with transverse momentum in the range of 6-20GeV/c. © 2009 The American Physical Society. -

In data with 4.6fb-1 of integrated luminosity collected by the CDF detector in pp̄ collisions at √s=1960GeV, the most likely signal cross section is consistent with zero at 16% confidence level. We therefore do not observe evidence for a high mass resonance and place limits on models predicting spin-1 resonances, including M>1071GeV/c2 at 95% confidence level for a Z′ boson with the same couplings to fermions as the Z boson. © 2011 American Physical Society. -

The data sample used corresponds to an integrated luminosity of approximately 4fb-1 of pp̄ collisions at √s=1.96TeV recorded by the CDF II experiment. This search includes twice the integrated luminosity of the previous published result, uses analysis techniques to distinguish jets originating from light flavor quarks and those from gluon radiation, and adds sensitivity to a Higgs boson produced by vector boson fusion. We find no evidence of the Higgs boson and place limits on the Higgs boson production cross section for Higgs boson masses between 100GeV/c2 and 150GeV/c2 at the 95% confidence level. For a Higgs boson mass of 120GeV/c2, the observed (expected) limit is 10.5 (20.0) times the predicted standard model cross section. © 2011 American Physical Society.
